Project Description:
Project nickname: Serene Martini
Client: Alexander & Theo
Project: Kitchen
Range: 1909 Shaker
Location: BR3 - Bromley
Year: 2025
Project Overview:
Alexander & Theo envisioned a cosy L-shaped kitchen, complemented by a thoughtfully considered feature island designed as the perfect centrepiece. They wanted a space that effortlessly balances day-to-day living with a sense of elevated comfort, while maintaining a warm, airy and bright feel, maximising the natural light flowing through the room, ideal for hosting friends and family, or simply unwinding at home.
Design Choices:
We selected our 1909 In-Frame Shaker range in Chalk and Olive for the cabinetry, paired with a Quartz Calacatta Silver worktop and a decorative patterned tile splashback enhancing the traditional character. Aged brass handles introduce an elegant, timeless finish, beautifully complemented by the brass undermounted sink and Quooker tap, while the stainless-steel appliances provide a clean, contemporary contrast, creating a balanced, refined look throughout this classic kitchen. To bring warmth and texture, we integrated natural oak with a large floating shelf, accented by recessed warm strip lighting to create a cosy, inviting ambience. It’s these considered details that elevate the room, turning a house into a home.
Challenges Encountered:
The biggest challenge wasn’t awkward corners or a lack of worktop space, it was choosing the perfect colour palette. Should we lean into a full green scheme, introduce natural oak doors, or pair the green with a soft neutral to keep the space balanced? By working closely with them both, we built a strong relationship allowing us to pinpoint what suited the room. The final result reflects those decisions perfectly, and brings their vision to life in a way that feels effortless.
