Project Description:
Project nickname: Cashmere Symphony
Client: Mia & Michael
Project: Kitchen
Range: Second Nature Belsay Woodgrain
Location: N7 - Islington
Year: 2025
Project Overview:
Mia and Michael asked us to create a timeless, elegant kitchen with an open, flowing feel that complements the new rear extension, bridges the gap between indoors and outdoors, and maximises natural light in the social cooking area around the island.
Design Choices:
We opted for our Belsay Woodgrain range in Cashmere for the cabinetry, paired with a Marbled White quartz worktop. Stainless steel and black appliance finishes add a sleek, modern edge, while matt black knob handles introduce a subtle pop of contrast to tie everything together. The real highlight is the solid oak open shelving, which brings a beautiful warmth and softness to the space. We also incorporated a breakfast larder to conceal everyday appliances and pantry items, keeping the worktops clear and the kitchen looking effortlessly tidy.
Challenges Encountered:
The main challenge on this project was the unconventional angle of the new extension, which affected the main kitchen run. However, through detailed site measures, careful planning at the design stage, and with the support of our skilled carpenters, we were able to overcome this and achieve a clean, seamless finish.
